About Me

Hello! I'm Jenneke (say Jen-ni-ka or Yen-ni-ka). My name is Dutch given by my mother who immigrated to the United States when she was a little girl. I am American (from the West Coast), but I live in Paris with my husband and two little sons. I have only lived in Paris for a year. The longest I have lived anywhere in my adult life was two years. For years, I lived nomadically between hotels and serviced apartments in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. My favorite homes have been Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Budapest and Paris.

I love writing and walking and this blog is a reflection of my life in Paris as I try to walk every street in the city (some 1,000 miles). ​
